Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic with a valid MOT licence to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting a variety of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience to contribute to a professional and dynamic environment.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring compliance with MOT requirements.
Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Perform vehicle inspections to identify potential safety concerns or defects.
Assist in the assembly of vehicle parts or equipment as needed.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients.
Handle heavy lifting safely when moving or installing heavy components or equipment.

Qualifications

Valid MOT licence is essential.
Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, or related mechanical roles.
Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical systems, and diagnostic procedures.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes.
Knowledge of vehicle or equipment maintenance standards and safety regulations.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in a physically demanding environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Relevant qualifications in automotive engineering or mechanics are desirable but not mandatory.
