Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our healthcare and care facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in senior care, assisted living, and specialised patient care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. This leadership role requires exceptional team management skills, a strong understanding of medical and laboratory procedures, and a compassionate approach to working with vulnerable individuals, including those with disabilities, children, and elderly residents. The Registered Manager will ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, maintain high standards of patient care, and foster a supportive environment for both staff and service users.

Duties

Lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams across various care settings such as nursing homes, hospice care, home care services, and assisted living facilities.
Develop and implement personalised care plans for residents with complex needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and disabilities.
Oversee medication administration procedures ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
Manage casework involving patient assessments, discharge planning, and coordination with healthcare professionals such as nurses, doctors, and laboratory technicians.
Ensure compliance with healthcare legislation and quality standards through regular audits and staff training programmes.
Organise staff rotas, oversee recruitment processes, and provide ongoing supervision to maintain a motivated team environment.
Facilitate specialised training in areas such as anatomy knowledge, medical imaging, ICU procedures, laboratory work, and working with individuals with disabilities.
Support the organisation of activities that promote patient well-being including toddler care programmes or working with children when applicable.
Maintain accurate documentation related to patient records, incident reports, and regulatory compliance reports.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in senior care environments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in management within healthcare settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
Extensive knowledge of senior care practices including dementia and Alzheimer's disease management.
Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in team management and staff development.
Familiarity with case management principles and patient care protocols.
Knowledge of anatomy, medication administration procedures, medical imaging processes, laboratory procedures, and hospice or ICU experience is advantageous.
Relevant qualifications in healthcare management or nursing (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care) are preferred.
Excellent organisational skills coupled with compassionate leadership qualities to support both residents' needs and staff development.
