Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounting processes. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about finance and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Assist with accounts payable processes, including the timely processing of invoices and payments.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in the accounting software.
Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with financial policies.
Utilise accounting software such as Sage, to manage financial data effectively.
Provide administrative support to the finance department, including filing documents and managing correspondence.
Assist with the preparation of financial reports as required by management.
Credit control major part of the role

Experience

Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred
Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage,
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
