Company Overview

The Cedars Nursery is a renowned provider of early childhood education in Newcastle upon Tyne which has been open for over 30 years. We have an incredible garden and rooms are separated by age, with 3 rooms for the under 2s, and a room for 2 year olds and 3&4 year olds. Recognized for outstanding standards and innovative outdoor learning approaches, we are committed to fostering each child's development through high-quality care and education.
Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse Level 3 or above to join our team at The Cedars Nursery. This full-time role involves working four 10 hour days days a week on a rota basis (with a half hour unpaid lunch), providing exceptional care and early years education to our children, supporting their growth and development in a vibrant environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality care and early childhood education to children in accordance with nursery policies.
Support children's developmental needs through engaging activities both indoors and outdoors.
Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children and families.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement educational programs.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities.
Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently met.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development.
Contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the nursery.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 or above in Childcare or equivalent qualification (those without full and relevant qualification need not apply).
Proven experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
Strong understanding of child development principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in childcare.
Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and innovative educational approaches.
Valid DBS check on the update service
