Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter / Prep Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team. This role is essential in supporting the smooth running of the kitchen by ensuring cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, and maintaining high standards of hygiene. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, a team player, and have a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Support the kitchen team with general cleaning and dishwashing duties.
Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces are cleaned to a high standard.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the guidance of the chef team.
Help maintain cleanliness and organisation in food storage and prep areas.
Dispose of waste correctly and in line with hygiene and safety guidelines.
Receive and unpack deliveries, ensuring correct storage of goods.
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety (training can be provided).
Punctual, dependable, and ready to take initiative when needed.
