Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in a culinary role. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional kitchen environment. Candidates with previous restaurant experience and a strong interest in meal preparation are encouraged to apply. The role is paid and suitable for individuals eager to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Experience with 'Front of House" service will also be welcome, including till operation, coffee preparation and a professional customer facing demeanour.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and standards
Prepare ingredients and organise workstations for efficient meal production
Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
Support the kitchen team in meal assembly and presentation
Maintain organisation of kitchen tools, utensils, and ingredients
Assist with serving food to customers or guests as required
Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during busy periods

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
Traditional baking skills would be a bonus
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a professional kitchen setting
Experience in meal preparation and culinary tasks preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential for success in this role

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £12.21-£14.50 per hour
