Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy culinary environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and supporting the preparation of delicious meals in a fast-paced setting. The Kitchen Supervisor will play a vital role in maintaining smooth workflow, fostering team cohesion, and upholding the organisation’s reputation for excellence.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and performance.
Assist in menu planning and develop new recipes in collaboration with the culinary team.
Monitor staff performance, conduct appraisals, and promote a positive working environment.
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality environment.
Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Extensive kitchen experience including culinary skills and restaurant familiarity.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards serving customers and team members alike.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
