Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join our team. The warehouse team is responsible for the fluid movement of goods, ensuring that all bakeries are supplied with raw materials in a timely manner to ensure that production is not halted. Unloading of raw materials before putting stock into the correct areas, loading of finished goods onto lorries in a timely manner to ensure transport deadlines are met.

Duties

Efficiently unload incoming deliveries and load outgoing lorries.
Pro-actively move stock from bulk storage to production areas in a timely manner to ensure production has no delays whilst ensuring stock rotation is adhered to.
Process incoming goods: check and record key details such as received date, temperature and use by date before putting away deliveries into designated storage areas.
Inventory accuracy: Ensure all stock movements are recorded.
Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained. FLT check sheets to be completed daily.
Clean As You Go: Warehouse cleaning sheets to be checked daily.
Assist with general warehouse duties such as cleaning work areas and preparing goods for dispatch or receipt
Carry out any reasonable request made of you by your manager.

Skills/Experience

Good communication skills
Ability to work alone as well as in a team
Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial, but training will be provided.
Counter Balance FLT (training can be provided)

This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Pay: £12.71-£14.71 per hour
