Full job description

Hillside Animal Sanctuary are recruiting for:

Stock Persons - Full Time , Permanent
Hall Lane, Frettenham, Norfolk, NR12 7LT, NR12 7EH

Hours of Work: 7.30am - 5.00pm Summer Season, 7.30 am - 4.00pm Winter Season working 5 days over 7 with alternate weekends off. 42.5 hours per week

Job Description
Assisting in providing a high standard of care to rescued horses, sheep, cows
and pigs at the sanctuary. Training will be given on site.

Duties to include (but not limited to)

Preparation of feeds & daily feed run operations
Cleaning out of animal paddocks, enclosures and water tanks
Closely monitoring animal health and well-being
Maintaining safe, clean, warm and dry environments for the animals
Moving, leading and grooming equines
Tractor/trailer driving
General cleaning and maintenance of farm machinery

Skills/ Qualities

A genuine interest in animal welfare
Animal husbandry qualification or experience of working with large animals
Current manual driving licence
Practical hands-on and hard-working approach to work
Capable to carry out manual handling
Ability to work alone and within a team
Good communication skills
Experience of outdoor working in all seasons
Excellent time-keeping and attendance to work

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
