Electrician (PAYE)

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Company Van

Elecbuild Ltd is a reputable, family-owned electrical contracting business based in Colchester, Essex. We provide a broad range of electrical services across the new build social housing, residential, commercial, and education sectors, building long-standing relationships through our commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and compliance.

As our business continues to grow and our workload expands, we are looking for a qualified Electrician to join our directly employed team.

The Opportunity

This is a diverse and rewarding role involving work across multiple contracts throughout Essex, Suffolk, and neighbouring areas. You will be involved in both planned and reactive electrical works, with a primary focus on new-build residential developments, solar PV installations, and commercial projects, with the option to progress into a QS / Management / Estimating role

Key Responsibilities

Carry out first-fix and second-fix electrical installations.
Perform inspection, testing, and certification in accordance with current industry regulations.
Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and undertake associated remedial works.
Install and commission solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Maintain accurate job records using digital certification and job management platforms.
Work safely, efficiently, and professionally within both occupied and vacant properties.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and clients.

Skills and Experience Required

Fully qualified Electrician with Level 3 qualification, AM2, and ECS Gold Card.
Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent) is desirable.
Demonstrable experience carrying out EICRs, fault finding, and remedial works.
Sound knowledge of current electrical regulations and industry standards.
Full UK driving licence.
