Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic / Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and a passion for vehicle maintenance to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced technicians and those seeking to expand their expertise in automotive repair.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicles, including engines, brakes, and electrical components.
Utilise hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks efficiently.
Carry out equipment repairs and perform routine maintenance to ensure vehicles remain in optimal condition.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or heavy vehicle parts.

Requirements

Proven experience with vehicle maintenance, repairs, or related mechanical work.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and automotive assembly processes.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and other specialised maintenance tools.
Good understanding of equipment repair procedures and routine maintenance practices.
Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods.
Able to work under their own initiative.
Able to use diagnostics
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive mechanics are desirable but not essential
Must have experience.

Pay: £30,000.00-£41,000.00 per year
