Overview
Piazza Italiana is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and running smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field within a hotel or restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly and efficiently.
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as required.
Ensure that all waste is disposed of correctly and that recycling protocols are followed.
Help maintain stock levels of kitchen supplies by reporting shortages to supervisors.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
Support the team during busy service periods by assisting where needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is desirable but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
A basic understanding of food preparation techniques is beneficial for this role.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining cleanliness standards.
A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a fast-paced environment are key attributes for success in this position.
A passion for culinary arts and hospitality will greatly enhance your contribution to our team.
