Full job description

Are you a Team Leader looking for your next step in your career? Perhaps you’re currently a First Line Manager looking for a change? If you’re ready to give your best shot, this is the role for you!

Here at GXO, we are currently on the search for a Stock & Admin First Line Manager to join our team in Trafford Park, Manchester, on our Costa contract. You’ll provide a consistent, strong and effective stock management operation across all shifts within the local operation. Providing support to the National Stock Manager in developing the stock-loss strategy as well as ensuring all stock and admin processes are fully compliant with NSF.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working a rotating 5-from-7 shift of; 06:00 till 14:00, 10:00 till 18:00 and 14:00 till 22:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000.00 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Managing and coaching a team of Stock & Admin Clerks across all shifts on days and nights
Driving improvements in stock loss and claims for the company to achieve contractual targets, effectively manage and support all CI initiatives in the business
Ensuring all stock and admin processes are fully compliant with BRCGS / NSF standards
Strong commercial focus and be able to effectively communicate with other departments, depots and the customer

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Proven experience in a similar inventory management role
Excellent understanding of forecasting and planning principles and systems
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a stock & admin operation
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Access and Excel with good knowledge of WMS
