Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of a school. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cleaning, ensuring environments are safe, tidy, and welcoming. Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to meet health and safety standards
Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and used efficiently
Follow specified cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard
Report any maintenance issues or hazards discovered during cleaning duties to the supervisor
Adhere to health and safety policies at all times during cleaning activities

Skills

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in all cleaning tasks
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good organisational skills to manage time effectively across multiple sites or areas
Physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods
Reliable with a professional attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards at all times
