Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in a culinary role. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant kitchen environment, contributing to the creation of delicious meals for our valued customers. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is highly desirable, but we are also open to enthusiastic individuals eager to learn and grow within the culinary industry.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in the organisation and maintenance of the kitchen workspace to ensure cleanliness and safety
Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to at all times during food preparation and service
Support with meal assembly and presentation to meet quality standards
Maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or needs
Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
Experience with meal preparation, kitchen organisation, or culinary techniques will be beneficial
Customer service experience, including serving or assisting guests, is a plus
Enthusiasm for learning new skills and working as part of a dynamic team is essential
