About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our team covering Camden. Your role will require you to work with the Team Leader and people who have a lived experience of mental ill health to develop and deliver client focussed, innovative and high-quality services to meet the needs of those with poor mental health in the community. You will be working within the community as required and home based for administration; therefore, a suitable home internet connection is essential.
About you
Desirably you will have some experience of working in mental health services, or providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have mental health conditions.
Preferably, you should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.
How will you make a difference?
You will be responsible for supporting people who have lived experience of mental health conditions to take an active and meaningful part in both the development and delivery of an efficient and effective peer mentoring project to a high standard.
To help in the recruitment, support and co-ordination of a team of volunteer peer mentors and to keep them at the centre of the project planning and delivery.
You will deploy resources flexibly and creatively to ensure they are used efficiently, responding to both internal and external challenges.
