We are looking for highly organised individuals that have proven experience in providing service with a genuine desire to help customers, have an eye for detail, enjoy being part of a team able to work in a pressurised environment.

As a Business support officer (Customer service), you will be responsible for assisting providing expert support to the Customer Services management team in the organisation, administration and effective running of the service area. You will also be responsible for administering all aspects of the council’s service, ensuring the service is delivered efficiently and to a high standard at all times to achieve levels of customer satisfaction.

You will need to have excellent communication skills as you will be building working relationships with a diverse range of departments and employees across the wider service. The role requires the successful candidate to respond clearly to requests and build close relationships with other Council departments.

The ideal candidate must be able to work well in a high pressure and fast paced environment. We have a flexible approach to your work whilst being able to plan and prioritise workloads effectively to ensure that tight deadlines are met. In this role it is crucial for you to maintain high service standards at all times.

You must have experience in the use of a variety of IT packages, specifically Google user experience of google forms an advantage. You will have previous extensive experience spreadsheets to record information accurately and analyse the data when required.

You will take responsibility for continually improving our service performance to meet the demands of our customers, ensuring we get it right the first time.
