Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, and providing excellent patient care. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a professional healthcare environment, contributing to the well-being of our patients.

Duties

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient information
Provide guidance and support to patients regarding medication usage and safety
Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations
Support inventory management by checking stock levels and organising supplies
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
Uphold confidentiality and maintain professionalism in all interactions with patients and staff

Experience

Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser, trainees also considered
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team within a busy environment
