Logistics Team Lead

Whiteley, Hampshire, near Solent Hotel | £30,600 per year | Mon–Fri, 7:30am–5pm, with occasional overtime if required

WeBuyAnyPhone.com is the UK's largest independent tech recycling business — we buy, refurbish and recycle mobile phones, tablets and wearable tech. We're looking for a Logistics Team Lead to keep our operation running like clockwork.

Here's the thing — you don't need a perfect CV match to be brilliant at this job.

If you've led a team before, or run the day-to-day of a busy operational environment, you already have a big part of what we need. We can teach you our systems and processes. What we can't teach is how to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions when priorities shift.

What you'll actually be doing

Leading the day-to-day running of the Logistics department, making sure priorities are managed and daily targets are hit
Supporting and guiding the team — giving direction, answering queries, and helping resolve issues as they come up
Allocating and adapting workloads through the day so devices are processed and shipped within required timeframes
Running regular 1:1s, supporting quarterly performance reviews, and developing the team through coaching and feedback
Spotting opportunities to improve efficiency, processes and ways of working in the department
Working closely with internal departments and external delivery partners to keep the operation smooth and efficient
Leading by example — promoting accountability, teamwork and high standards across the department
Being flexible to work occasional overtime during busier periods, to keep the department on track

Can lead by example and support a team in a busy operational environment
Have strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet daily deadlines
Are a confident communicator who builds positive working relationships across the business
Can make decisions, adapt to changing processes and priorities, and stay calm under pressure
Are confident acting as a first point of contact for employee queries and day-to-day support
Enjoy helping others develop through regular feedback, 1:1s and coaching conversations
Take a proactive approach, owning tasks and spotting ways to improve how things work
Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Have previous leadership experience and knowledge of logistics operations
Are happy to be flexible around occasional overtime when the department needs it

Bonus points (not essential) for...

Experience using systems such as Linnworks or Salesforce
