Full job description

Prestige Fabrications Ltd are currently recruiting for a time served Sheet Metal Fabricator.

The working hours are 39 hours over a 4 day week;

Monday to Thursday - 7.00am - 5.15pm

Role Description;

Using typical sheet metal machinery such as CNC Press brakes, Rolls, MIG and TIG welding you will be responsible for the fabrication of steel components and sheet metal works to a high standard in a timely manner.

Main responsibilities:

MIG, TIG Welding & Fabrication of sheet metal components from 0.9mm - 20mm thick
Fabrication of Sheet Metal Enclosures, Frames, High End Finish Assemblies.
Manual handling of materials and assemblies to eliminate any damage, or health hazards in line with company policies and Health and Safety Regulations
Ensuring all stock being processed is maximised to achieve the best stock utilisation possible
Work with the Design Engineer to overcome any issues
Maintain and promote safe working practices in line with company policies
Ensuring all stock and processed products are clearly identified in accordance with both company and customer requirements at all times.
Support in training of other Operatives

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Previous experience welding St/St, Alu & Mild Steel
Previous experience/knowledge in metal cutting and forming processes including finishing sheet metal sections and forming sheet metal
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and design drawings
Ability to understand and use all types of measuring equipment

Ability to work to a high quality standard
Ability to problem solve

This position is permanent position.
