Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the well-being of our clients, whether in care homes or providing home care services. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by delivering high-quality care with professionalism and empathy. The role involves working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care plans are effectively implemented, promoting independence and dignity for all service users.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support clients in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to senior staff
Administer medication as directed and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Facilitate effective communication between clients, families, and healthcare teams
Support clients with light domestic tasks and meal preparation where appropriate
Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings as required
Ensure a safe and clean environment for all service users

Requirements

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving client transportation
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a professional attitude towards client care
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
