Full job description

£58,000 base salary. Not OTE. Not "realistic earnings." Base.

Pleasant Plumbers is an established London plumbing and heating company running on its own technology platform. Over 300 engineers have worked through our systems, we're Gas Safe registered, and we cover domestic and commercial across London — including a growing commercial contract book.

We're building a permanent employed engineering team and we're paying above the London market to staff it properly.

What you get

£58,000 base, paid weekly, every Friday, without chasing anyone
£70 an hour for out-of-hours work, on top of your base — and it rounds up, so a twenty-minute reset pays the full hour. We guarantee at least £7,500 of it in your first year. If the work isn't there, we pay it anyway.
10% of the labour value on any work you spot on site and the customer takes. Tracked live in the app, paid the Friday after they pay.
Company van + fuel card — insured, taxed, maintained. Roughly £8,000 a year you're not spending.
We fund your commercial tickets. COCN1 pathway paid for and booked inside your first six months. The month you pass, your base becomes £70,000 — written into your offer letter, not a conversation about your future.
28 days holiday including bank holidays · company sick pay from day one · pension · £500/yr tool allowance · company iPhone · ACS renewals always covered
Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm. Out of hours is voluntary — nothing averaged into your rota.
Progression with a trigger, not a timeline: Engineer → Commercial Engineer (£70,000) → Lead Engineer (£76,000) → Field Supervisor. Every rung has a published criterion and a published number.
Your paperwork does itself. GPS dispatch, automatic timers, in-app forms, live earnings ledger. No evenings writing up jobs.

The work

Steady, year-round volume across domestic and commercial — repairs, servicing, installations. Full job history, photos and parts info in your hand before you arrive. Dispatched to you through our platform; no dead days, no buying leads, no chasing invoices.

You

Gas Safe registered — CCN1 and CENWAT current. Commercial tickets an advantage; if you haven't got them, we'll fund them.
Genuinely experienced and confident working unsupervised.
London-based, full UK licence, own hand tools.
This matters as much as the gas: you'll be standing in someone's kitchen representing our name. We hire engineers customers ask for by name.
Minimum experience 5 years- on the tools.

The process

We call every qualified applicant back within one working day — a person, not a portal. Technical assessment with our lead Gas Safe engineer. Then a paid trial day on the tools: full day's pay whatever we both decide, and an offer on the spot if it's a yes.

We verify your Gas Safe number on the register before the trial.
