Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the café operates smoothly during busy periods. Flexibility to work during peak hours, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends, is essential. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the hospitality industry while working in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Handle customer orders efficiently with a friendly and professional attitude
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required
Manage cash register operations accurately and handle transactions with care
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth service flow
Uphold health and safety regulations in accordance with company policies

Skills

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced environment
Basic food preparation skills and familiarity with coffee-making equipment
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members

Pay: £12.75-£13.85 per hour
