Roles & Responsibilities:

Working with various Aero space Materials.
Fitting Vespal bushes.
Fitting Spacers to the correct Height.
Utilising various power tools including Linisher and De-burring.
Bonding specific components.
Taking extreme care and attention in handling aerospace parts.
Gluing, fitting and removal of Vespal pads.
Fitting Pins to the correct height and depth.
Fitting Helicoils and Pins to the correct depth and height to Drawing Requirements.
Fitting and removal of Thinserts.
Reading various calibration equipment relevant to the department.
Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
Contribute to SQDCP boards and team meetings where required.
Carry TPM checks where required.

Experience, Knowledge and Education:

An understanding of health and safety in the workplace. (Essential)
Understanding the principles of a standard work instruction. (Essential)
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment. (Desirable)
Demonstrate a good level of numeracy & literacy. (Essential)
Experience in deburring and working with metal parts.(Desirable)
Experience working within Aerospace and Nuclear(Desirable)

Skills and Abilities:

Good manual dexterity & hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work individually or as part of a small team.
Ability to use hand tools & equipment effectively.
Have a proactive and positive attitude to improvements and 5’s.
Good attention to detail & quality.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Displays flexibility and adaptability.
Willingness to improve on existing skills and learn new ones
Ability to be resilient and work well under pressure.
Cover holidays and capacity issues with overtime when required
Communicate through all levels of production.
