Reliance Social Housing CIC is a Regulated Provider of social housing, governed by the National Housing Federation (NHF) Code of Governance and committed to compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing’s Governance and Financial Viability Standard (GF&V). Our mission is to provide safe, affordable, and high-quality housing solutions to communities in need, ensuring financial sustainability and compliance within the sector.

Role Overview:

You will be joining us at a very exciting time as we pursue significant growth across our services to develop independent living accommodation options. This role will oversee the development of the department though contribution to team growth and work accuracy, and the postholder will contribute significantly to operational efficiency and strategic progress of the department, and the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Actively support your team to deliver high quality and the most effective and efficient service possible, ensuring they place our residents at the heart of all that they do as they help them achieve sector-leading outcomes.
A positive role model to your team as you support and motivate them to develop and progress in their role.
Manage and administer an effective high-performance culture through regular 1:1s, objective setting and appraisals, providing additional support where necessary to overcome challenges and barriers.
Support your team to seek out opportunities for knowledge development and skill improvement, reviewing its relevance against organisational policies and budgets.
Provide Approvals of new stakeholders and grant access to CRM systems.
Working with approved partners and ensuring excellent service delivery.
Effective communication with other departments to ensure efficiency of relevant processes.
Sets and ensures compliance with department KPI’s.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual report for HOTH.
Conduct contractual review meetings in line with the risk appetite to assist managing agents to improve quality of service.
Actively leads on implementing programs that meet organisational goals and objectives for the department.
Fully engages with HO department and HR to monitor any necessary recruitment.
Ensure they remain up to date with relevant legislation.
Assist with monthly dip test on all systems to measure against the quality and efficiency of processes.

Person Specification:

Essential:

You will be an experienced housing professional who is familiar with leading, supporting and managing teams.
Have proven ability to liaise effectively with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and housing institutions.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities
Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
You will have an in-depth knowledge of best-practice and current thinking when working with people of all backgrounds and circumstances.
Using your knowledge and skills to help us create one of the most effective outcomes-focused services in the sector.
You will be familiar with and have experience of effectively supporting teams to work in a strength-based and informed way. Taking personal pride and ownership in supporting your team (and the wider department / organisation) and develop those approaches in support of helping residents achieve outcomes far beyond their expectations.

Desirable:

Experience within the social housing sector or a not-for-profit environment.
Understanding of ERP systems and business intelligence tools to support financial planning and analysis.
Provides clear documentation and guidance demonstrating the understanding of
legal responsibilities under the Housing Ombudsman and Regulator of Social Housing consumer standards to ensure compliance.

various classifications of housing benefit regulations and DWP guidance relative to
the organisation housing models.
