Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our friendly dental practice due to maternity . The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient care skills, strong organisational abilities, and effective communication skills. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your expertise in nursing and reception duties will be valued and utilised. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering high standards of dental care and customer service.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate patient care, ensuring comfort and reassurance throughout treatment
Assist dentists during procedures, maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation
Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using IT systems
Greet patients warmly, check-in and check-out procedures, and handle patient enquiries both face-to-face and via telephone
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
Support administrative tasks such as billing, processing payments, and managing correspondence
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and organised
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, post-treatment care, and appointment reminders

Qualifications

recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse with valid registration (e.g., GDC registration)
Proven experience in a dental nursing or reception role within a dental practice
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software
Compassionate approach to patient care with a professional demeanour
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required
