Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting and possess excellent communication skills. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring high-quality results that meet our clients' expectations. A valid driving licence is preferred as the position may require travel to various job sites.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Select and mix colours to achieve the desired aesthetic for each project.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on progress.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure efficient workflow.
A large amount of our work is with traditional materials so a knowledge of working with Lime based products and breathability is preferable. If this is not something you are familiar with but want to learn and have a high standard of finish we are happy to offer on site training for the right people.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A valid driving licence is preferred for travel to job sites.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
