Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analysing personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

The position is for a minimum of 21.75 hours per week with the ability for additional hours to be worked. There is flexiblity on how these hours are worked over the week. The role is office based however the candidate may have the opportunity to work 1 day per week from home in the future.

We are a long established accountancy practice in Northampton with a friendly environment and a close knit team.

There is an opportunity for this to be a full time position (36.25 hours per week) if the candidate has experience in preparing accounts.

Pro rata, 24 days holiday per year (increasing to 29 days after 5 years) plus bank holidays.

Must be ATT qualified with at least 5 years experience in practice.

Main duties

Preparation and submission of

Personal tax returns
Corporation tax returns
60 capital gains tax returns for residential property sales
P11ds

Requirements

Proficiency in accounting/tax software including TaxCalc and Sage
Good Excel skills
Knowledge of current tax legislation and compliance requirements.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
ATT qualified.
5+ years experience in practice with having worked on personal and corporate tax, ineritance tax and capital gains tax.
Good communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
Pay range quoted is full time equivalent

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
