Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Dismantler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely disassembling vehicles in a professional environment, ensuring all parts are removed efficiently and accurately. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in automotive mechanics and hands-on work, looking to develop their skills within a dynamic setting. The position is paid and suitable for those who enjoy physical activity and working with tools.

Responsibilities

Dismantle vehicles systematically, removing parts such as engines, transmissions, body panels, and interior components.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to facilitate disassembly processes.
Ensure that all parts are removed without damage, preparing them for resale or recycling.
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during dismantling activities.
Assist with the disposal or storage of vehicle fluids and hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily dismantling targets and uphold quality standards.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge is essential to understand vehicle systems and components.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers is required.
Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact wrenches is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, handling vehicle parts weighing up to 40 kilograms or more.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within set timeframes.
Attention to detail to prevent damage during disassembly and ensure accurate removal of parts.
Good communication skills for effective teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.
