Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Painter & Decorator required for a high-end residential project near Liphook starting early August for a period of 6-8 weeks, possibly more.

You will need considerable experience in completing high end finishes for both interiors and exteriors, specifically painting original sash windows to a very high standard. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, a good knowledge of various paint systems, and proven ability to achieve finishes of the highest standard (you may be asked to provide examples of your work).

You must be reliable, hardworking, friendly, and work well within a team when it is required.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes to various surfaces including walls, ceilings, woodwork, and exteriors
Protect surrounding areas during work and maintain a clean work environment
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or any issues encountered
Adhere to health and safety regulations

Requirements

Proven experience in high end painting & decorating
Able to provide your own tools & equipment
Valid driving licence and your own transport
Fluency in English with strong communication skills for liaising with clients and colleagues
Ability to interpret instructions accurately
A professional attitude with attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality finishes

Working hours

Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Pay £21.25 - £22.50 Per hour dependent on experience
