Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong work ethic to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties. Applicants should possess good communication skills and a valid driving licence, as travel between sites may be required.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paints or wallpapers.
Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care.
Install wallpaper, wall coverings, or decorative finishes according to project specifications.
Ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste responsibly.
Collaborate with clients and team members effectively to understand project requirements and deliver satisfactory results.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times during the execution of duties.

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan tasks efficiently.
Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between multiple sites.
Ability to interpret technical drawings or instructions accurately.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for colour matching and finishing touches. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their craftsmanship and are committed to delivering exceptional decorating services across various settings.

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
