Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LIVE IN Bar Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bar within a hospitality setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine leadership with hands-on involvement in food and beverage service, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. The successful candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food preparation, serving, and bar management. This position is ideal for someone with previous restaurant or hotel experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

Supervise the bar team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality standards
Manage the serving of beverages and food items, ensuring prompt and courteous service
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Assist in food production tasks as needed, including cocktail making and barista duties
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory efficiently
Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee team performance
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with health regulations
Handle guest enquiries or complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Experience in serving beverages and managing bar operations effectively
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team confidently
Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen experience is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Hospitality or culinary qualifications are advantageous but not essential
Previous barista experience or experience working in a similar role is preferred
A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
