Full job description

Job Overview
We are looking for experienced, reliable, hard‑working and customer‑focused self‑employed parcel delivery drivers to join our growing team. You will be responsible for collecting parcels from a local depot, planning your route, and delivering to customers efficiently and professionally.

2 years experience required in a similar position.

Paid training and support are provided.

Duties

Safely operate company van, to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
Deliver to route and meet delivery schedules.
Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
Communicate clearly with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and update logs as required.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
The shift pattern is 5 days Monday to Saturday. You must be able to work one in every two Saturdays.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving or warehouse environments.
A valid UK driving licence, with 6 points or less.
Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing schedules.
Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations relevant to commercial driving. This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and delivering exceptional service in a professional setting.

What You’ll Get

Competitive pay: £125 to £200 per day, £125 per day to start with options to earn more. Potential to earn £1.50 per drop.
Van, Insurance and fuel all provided: No vehicle expenses

Training included: 3 days paid training

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
