Temporary Event Logistics Ground Crew and Van & Trailer Drivers
About Us:
Atropos Events Ltd is a leading supplier of event equipment, transport, production and crewing services, specializing in delivering comprehensive logistics and setup solutions for a wide range of festivals, sporting events, corporate and private events. We also work within the construction and civil engineering industry. We are seeking several highly reliable and physically capable contract workers to join our operations team during our busy season with potential to have opportunities of work year round.
This is a self employed contractor role that will frequently require several nights away from home on larger jobs with PD’s and accommodation provided. We work in all weather come rain or shine so need positive can do staff to deliver to tight deadlines in challenging environments. Having said the work can be really rewarding and enjoyable with the opportunity of travelling around the country visiting many different places. Enjoying the benefit of working outdoors throughout the summertime and there’s never a dull moment.
Contract Duration: Immediate start; part-time/full-time/ad hoc contract from May 2026 to September 2026.
Location: Worksop, and various event/construction sites. (Must be able to get yourself to Worksop depot for early morning starts often 04:00-06:00 in the morning)
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics and Transport:
- Safely load and unload event equipment, including Barrier, Fencing, light and heavy duty Trackway.
- Drivers operate company vehicles for the timely delivery and collection of equipment to and from event locations.
- Ground crew to assist with the loading and securing of equipment we work as a team not as individuals.
- Perform routine checks on vehicles before transport and make sure vehicles are well maintained throughout the workday. Where neccessary reporting damages immeadiately.
- On-Site Setup and Breakdown:
- Working as part of a team to efficiently deploy equipment ensuring high standards and quality for our clients going the extra mile having pride in what we do.
- Comply with all company and work site health and safety standards and conduct yourself safely and professionally at all times.
- Work with clients and senior management to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Execute precise breakdown and strike of events, ensuring all inventory is accounted for and packed securely for return transport.
- Document and report back to senior management any insights, damages and relevant information from jobs in a timely fashion.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Valid Driving Licence (MUST HAVE): A full driving licence is required to operate company transport vehicles. Basic ground crew are required to get themselves to and from depot so personal vehicles or close proximity to depot is essential.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to safely lift and move heavy equipment and stand for extended periods, as the role involves manual labour.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and commitment to assigned schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed by event schedules.
- Work Ethic: Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a large team or within small teams with minimal supervision.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed setup instructions and ensure equipment is handled and stored correctly.
- Plant Licences: We often use Forklifts, Moffetts, Telehandlers to deliver our jobs. Not essential for all candidates but licences/experience with plant is a desirable skill.
- Experience Driving Trailers: Not essential for all candidates but desirable skill along with Taco Card holders.
- CSCS Card: Not essential for all candidates initially but is a desirable qualification so willingness to sit and pass this test.
We offer a competative day rate with weekly pay with compensation for extended working hours where applicable. Opportunities in the future for more long term work and to get professional training/licenses are possible for the right candidates.
