Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner (Level 3 or above) to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their development and learning through engaging activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about Early Years and working with children to make a positive impact on young lives.

Duties

Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods
Foster a caring and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and independence
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that meet individual needs of children
Ensure health and safety standards are consistently upheld within the nursery or childcare setting
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Assist with organisational management tasks as required, including maintaining a clean and organised environment

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
Ability to work flexibly within organisational hours to meet the needs of the nursery
