Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Pharmacy Counter Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service at the pharmacy counter, assist with medication dispensing, and support the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have previous pharmacy counter experience and a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.

Duties

Greet customers courteously and assist them with their pharmacy needs
Dispense medications accurately under supervision, ensuring correct dosages and labels
Manage prescription orders, including processing and recording transactions
Provide information on over-the-counter products and basic medication guidance
Support the pharmacy team with stock management, including inventory checks and replenishment
Maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and organisational standards
Ensure the pharmacy area remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Cleaning is an essential part of the daily routine.

Skills

Previous pharmacy counter experience is required.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Friendly demeanour with a genuine desire to assist patients and customers
