Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to support individuals in maintaining their health and well-being, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality care in various settings such as care homes and home care environments. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you assist, ensuring they receive respectful, personalized, and effective support. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, reliability, and a proactive approach to caregiving.

Responsibilities

Assist patients or residents with daily activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each person's specific needs and preferences.
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families to ensure seamless care delivery.
Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the well-being of individuals under your care.
Support transportation needs by driving clients safely to appointments or activities when required.
Use IT systems efficiently for recording observations, updating care plans, and reporting any concerns promptly.
Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols to create a safe environment for both clients and staff.

Requirements

Proven experience working as a Care Assistant within care homes or home care settings.
Knowledge in dementia as we are a dementia specialist home.
Knowledge of developing and following care plans tailored to individual requirements.
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly.
Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and reporting in healthcare environments.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients.
