General Manager – Amtech UK, Burgess Hill

Amtech UK, part of the Killis Group of Companies, is looking for an ambitious, commercially driven General Manager to lead our sales growth and help take the business to the next level.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in the cleaning industry to play a key role in growing Amtech UK and establishing the business as the UK’s number-one supplier of specialist carpet care and hard floor care products and equipment.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about sales, confident winning new business and capable of developing strong, long-term customer relationships. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new markets and opportunities, growing existing accounts and promoting our in-house manufactured range of specialist carpet care and hard floor care products and equipment.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role. You will manage a small team while also being actively involved in winning new business, developing key accounts and driving sales across the UK.

The Role

As General Manager, you will take responsibility for driving the sales strategy and commercial growth of Amtech UK.Key responsibilities will include:

Developing and delivering a clear, ambitious sales growth strategy for Amtech UK.
Driving new business development and actively identifying, pursuing and converting new sales opportunities.
Growing existing customer accounts and increasing customer spend.
Promoting and developing sales of Amtech’s in-house manufactured range of specialist carpet care and hard floor care products and equipment.
Building Amtech’s reputation and market position as the UK’s number-one supplier of carpet care and hard floor care solutions.
Managing, motivating and developing a small sales team.
Setting sales targets and monitoring performance to ensure sales objectives are achieved.
Leading by example and maintaining a strong personal focus on sales and business development.
Developing strong relationships with key customers, distributors, suppliers and industry partners.
Identifying opportunities to increase market share and develop new revenue streams.
Working closely with the wider Killis Group to identify and maximise cross-selling and commercial opportunities.
Visiting customers and prospects across the UK, including demonstrations, meetings, presentations and business development activity.
Providing regular sales forecasts, performance updates and commercial insight to senior management.
Working with the business to identify opportunities for new products and services.
Keeping up to date with market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a proven sales professional with strong business development and sales management experience who can demonstrate a genuine track record of delivering growth.

You will ideally have:

Proven experience in sales management, business development or commercial leadership.
Strong experience within the professional cleaning, cleaning equipment, carpet care or hard floor care industry.
A demonstrable track record of growing sales and winning new business.
Experience managing, motivating and developing a small team.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into sales.
A proven ability to develop new customer relationships and grow existing accounts.
Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
The confidence to build relationships at all levels, from operational contacts through to senior decision-makers.
A proactive, entrepreneurial and results-driven approach.
The ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver results.
A genuine passion for sales and business growth.
The willingness and ability to travel nationwide as required.

You must live within approximately 45 minutes of our Burgess Hill office.

The Working Pattern

This is a hands-on commercial role combining sales leadership and business development from our Burgess Hill office with regular customer visits across the UK. You should expect to spend approximately 3–4 days per week in the office and 2–3 days on the road, depending on business requirements. The role will involve nationwide travel to meet customers, prospects and business partners, attend demonstrations and develop new opportunities.
