Full job description

The Job:

Spiral UK carry out the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke staircases throughout the UK. We are looking for a skilled and reliable staircase fitter to join our team. You will be responsible for installing architectural metalwork, staircase installation, balustrades and handrails.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will either be an experienced or trained fitter who is focused and able to work with own initiative under minimal supervision as part of a two-man team. It is important that you have a professional manner and good communication skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced steelwork installer who is comfortable working away from home and have a strong background in site-based fabrication and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

Install staircases, balustrades and associated components to a high standard
Read and interpret technical drawings and site plan
Carry out on-site measurements and adjustments where required
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Conduct checks and resolve installation issues efficiently

Key skills & Experience

Have a good eye for detail and quality.
Be able to read and understand construction drawings.
Have a valid UK Driving license – a company van is provided to each team.
Able to travel to various sites throughout the UK, accommodation and travel paid
Proven experience in staircase fitting or similar structural steel installation
Blue CSCS card
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work as a team.
Ability to TIG / MIG weld

Advantageous Qualifications (not essential)

IPAF
PASMA
SSSTS

What we offer

Ongoing training and development
Full-time, permanent position
Guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week
Travel time paid both ways
Overnight allowance when working away
Accommodation fully covered
Monday to Friday working pattern (if any weekend working is required notice will be given and overtime rates paid).
