Full job description

Pay: £18.00 per hour

Location: Brighton, Hove or Crawley

We are looking for a reliable and detail focused Bookkeeper to support our Finance Manager across a growing group of shared workspace brands, including Freedom Works and PLATF9RM.

This role is for 12 hours per week, typically worked across Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 2pm. We would like the successful candidate to work from one of our spaces at least one day per week, ideally on a Monday or Wednesday, with the remaining hours able to be worked remotely.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys varied bookkeeping work and wants to be part of a supportive, people focused business where no two weeks are quite the same.

What you will be doing

Bookkeeping duties including accounts payable and receivable using Xero
Bank reconciliations across two companies
Processing staff expenses
Supporting payroll processing
Sending supplier remittances and maintaining accurate records
Reconciling customer and supplier accounts
Matching financial data across different systems
Providing support with project work, with awareness of Xero Projects preferable
Helping with general finance administration, including resolving member queries
Working closely with the Finance Manager to keep day to day finance running smoothly

What we are looking for

Previous bookkeeping or finance experience
Confident use of Xero Accounting Software
Understanding of CIS and domestic reverse charge
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
