Full job description

Drumconner Care homes have been privately owned and in the same family for over 40 years, offering the highest standards of care in a luxury environment.

We are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Operative to join our friendly team. We are looking for someone who has hands-on skill to plan for the safety of the building.

About the role

To undertake a range of general repairs and building/grounds maintenance.
To proactively identify areas or items in need of repair in a timely manner.
To be responsible for maintaining the building and grounds in line with health and safety requirements.
Driving clients to appointments.
Transporting goods to and from local surgeries.
Monthly Audits - temperature, electrical, etc.

Basic Duties

Drywall/plaster repair and painting
Furniture assembly and relocation
Changing lights and/or fixtures
Plumbing repairs, replacements, installation
Carpentry repairs and installations (doors, shelves, countertops)
Minor repair of electrical devices and PAT testing
Facilities safety inspections
Grounds and security maintenance (fencing, gate arms and gates)

Expectations

Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order
Adhere to all safety requirements and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment
Respond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety

About you

Ideally you will have a trade qualification and/or a general understanding of maintenance duties.
Experience of working within a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential.
You must have a full clean driving licence.
Adept computer skills to lead and maintain monthly, annual or any other audits.

Please note that an enhanced DBS check will be required due to the nature of this post.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
