Salary: starting from £25,250 and up to £30,000 (depending on qualifications & experience)

Job Type: Full Time [40 hours per week]Little Prep Nursery is looking for full-time, Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified Practitioners to join our team. Situated in Old Town, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and a part of Stratford Preparatory School, this is an exciting opportunity for a high-quality practitioner to be part of a wonderful new Nursery setting.

Our Nursery: Little Prep Nursery is due to open in September 2025 and will be a full time Day Nursery that educates children from 0 to 4 years old within a brand-new environment, that places the happiness and confidence of children at the heart of our ethos. We know that happiness and self-assurance are central to children’s development. When pupils are happy and confident, they are able to make outstanding progress in all areas. As part of Stratford Preparatory School, Little Prep Nursery will share the school ethos & values, the school facilities as well as the specialist teachers in order to enrich the children’s experience. In keeping with the values of Little Prep Nursery, as our children grow, we hope to nurture them to be kind, honest and hard working.

Hours of Appointment: This is a full time, full year position, 40 hours per week. The successful candidate, in discussion with the Manager, will be able to consider the shift rotation and how this works over the week.

Start date: Flexible, prior to September 2026

What you’ll be doing

Ensure the learning environment meets the highest standards and so that the space provides opportunities for the children to learn and develop (both inside and out).
Plan, deliver and provide wonderful learning opportunities and exceptional pastoral care to help each child develop and grow, meeting their own potential
Establish strong relationships with colleagues, children and their families in order to facilitate each child meeting their own potential to the highest standard
Ensure the welfare of the child, their health and safety and safeguarding are of the highest standards
Create an environment that reflects the ethos of Little Prep Nursery…one that is happy, safe and allows everyone to approach their day with confidence
Represent the values of Little Prep Nursery by working hard, being kind and honest.

What we’re looking for

Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting (essential)
Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
