The Role:

NMITE is seeking a passionate and dedicated Student Services Advisor to join our Student Services Team. This is a full-time role based in person across our Blackfriars and Skylon campuses in Hereford.

As part of our Student Services Team, you will play a key role in supporting students by providing a high-quality support service from induction to graduation. You will deliver an inclusive and student-centred service that that maximises student retention, enhances the student experience and promotes student success, both personally and professionally.

The Job:

Be a visible presence for students, responding effectively to enquiries and providing a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment.
Manage a caseload of students, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
Assess student support needs and coordinate appropriate interventions and referrals.
Work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues to provide holistic student support.
Develop and deliver information, workshops, campaigns and events that enhance the student experience.
Promote equality, diversity and inclusion across the NMITE community.
Contribute to student engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives.
Participate in occasional evening and weekend activities to support recruitment, transition and student engagement events.
Actively contribute to the ongoing development of Student Services.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

Minimum Level 3 qualification, evidence of continued professional development and the ability to demonstrate transferrable skills and experience in at least one of the following areas: Mental health − Disability inc. neurodiversity − Youth work or social care
Relevant experience of providing effective student support in an education setting or the ability to demonstrate transferrable skills.
Proven ability to act as an effective member of a team, with the skills to effectively engage others beyond the confines of the departmental boundaries.

Desirable:

Experience of developing and delivering promotional activities and campaigns.
Experience of working within a higher education environment.
Additional qualifications related to specific areas of student support.
Experience of creating and implementing processes and systems.

Our Offer: We offer a competitive salary, with a full-time equivalent (FTE) salary range of £28,645 - £31,919, depending on the number of hours worked, and benefits package including:
