Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar/Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. This is a part time position with various shifts available and would suit a second job for the right person.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering outstanding service, possess a friendly demeanour, and have a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position is fully paid and suitable for individuals eager to build a career in the food and beverage industry.

Duties

Welcome guests warmly and ensure they feel comfortable from arrival to departure
Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables, counters, and bar stations
Handle payments accurately using the POS system and process transactions promptly
Assist with food preparation tasks where necessary, ensuring food safety standards are upheld
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing honest recommendations
Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to queries or special requests
Support colleagues during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Adhere strictly to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential
Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and best practices in food handling and preparation
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently
Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
Ability to work well under pressure during busy service periods
Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is a plus
Upselling skills combined with excellent communication abilities to enhance guest experience
