Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to oversee daily store operations and lead a team towards achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for retail excellence. This role offers an opportunity to utilise organisational expertise and leadership qualities in a fast-paced retail environment, ensuring smooth store functioning and sustained growth.

Duties

Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock control, and visual merchandising.
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor team productivity.
Maintain excellent communication with team members, suppliers, and customers to foster a positive shopping experience.
Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising standards.
Handle customer enquiries professionally via phone or in person, ensuring adherence to excellent phone etiquette.
Analyse sales data and prepare reports for senior management to inform business decisions.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store environment.
Support recruitment processes by interviewing candidates and participating in staff training programmes.

Requirements

Proven management experience within the retail sector, including supervising teams and managing sales operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide staff effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for diverse customer bases.
Demonstrable experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative duties.
Proficient in using retail management software and MS Office applications.
Outstanding time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
Previous experience in managing budgets, stock control, and organisational planning.
Exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and team members alike.
Organised approach to work with a focus on delivering excellent customer service standards. This position is suitable for proactive individuals eager to lead a retail team towards success while fostering a welcoming shopping environment.
