About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and confident Employee Relations Adviser to support the delivery of a high‑quality HR service across the organisation. In this role, you will work closely with the Employee Relations Specialist to provide managers with clear, practical advice on the application of policies, pay and conditions, and the legal and best‑practice aspects of employment matters.

You will have responsibility for managing your own varied employee relations caseload, supporting managers through a range of matters including disciplinary, capability, grievance and absence cases, ensuring these are handled in line with organisational policy and best practice. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build or further develop a career in employee relations within a supportive and experienced team.

A key part of the role will involve working closely with managers to build their confidence and capability in managing people issues, while also developing constructive working relationships with Trade Union representatives to support effective employee relations and collective discussions. You will contribute to a consistent corporate approach by supporting employee relations frameworks, including participation in formal meetings and ensuring accurate records are maintained.

You will also play an important role in organisational change activity, advising and supporting managers through consultation processes, ensuring risks are identified and managed appropriately, and that redeployment processes are handled effectively and fairly. The role requires strong analytical and written skills, as you will maintain detailed case records, interpret complex information, and produce clear, high‑quality correspondence to progress casework and organisational change activity in line with current legislation.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad, hands‑on experience across a wide range of employee relations matters while making a meaningful impact within a large and diverse organisation.
