Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Fryer to oversee the preparation and cooking of fried dishes within our busy takeaway.

The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a good eye for food preparation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Lead the frying station, ensuring all fried items are prepared to the highest standard of quality and presentation.
Oversee the preparation of ingredients, including cleaning, cutting, and organising supplies for efficient workflow.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and optimal taste.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service times effectively.
Ensure all food is stored correctly, adhering to safety guidelines to prevent contamination or spoilage.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, particularly with frying techniques within a kitchen setting.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and food safety standards.
Previous frying experience is highly desirable, especially in fast-paced environments requiring efficient multitasking.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for hygiene in commercial kitchens.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
Previous serving experience is advantageous but not essential.
