Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician – Jaguar Land Rover Specialist

Looking for a role that will challenge and develop your skills?

SVS is a well-established, family-run independent Jaguar Land Rover specialist based in Burgess Hill. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our friendly and professional team.

Working exclusively on premium Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles, you'll be involved in a wide variety of diagnostic, repair and maintenance work, using the latest equipment and techniques. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a business known for its quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.

The Role

As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for:

Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
Routine servicing and maintenance
Engine repairs and rebuild work
Electrical diagnosis and repairs
Brake system repairs
Timing belt replacement
Suspension and steering repairs
Clutch replacement and transmission work
Liaising with customers and suppliers when required
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer care

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience in vehicle servicing, repairs and diagnostics
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A professional and positive attitude
Excellent time management and organisational skills
A willingness to go the extra mile for customers and colleagues

Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence
Own comprehensive tool kit
Strong experience across all areas of vehicle repair and diagnostics

Desirable Qualifications

City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Automotive Servicing & Repair
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Automotive Maintenance and Repair

Monday to Friday working hours (8:00am – 6:00pm, negotiable)
