Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy pizzeria.

The rota is fixed and must be able to work all the hours:

Tuesday-Wednesday 17:00/23:00

Friday 17:00/00:00

Saturday 12:00/00:00

Sunday 12:00/23:00

The successful candidate need to be able to work independently in a fast paced environment, to prep toppings, keeping the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. The role is suitable for individuals with an interest in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality, looking to develop their skills within the industry.

Main responsibilities:

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils to uphold hygiene standards
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs
Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen
Organising stock and ensuring all items are stored correctly and safely
Preparing starter orders, drinks, and pastas
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Adhering to all food safety standards and health & safety policies at all times

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is desirable
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and hygiene standards within a professional setting
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
A proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen environment
