Night Receptionist / Night Porter

Location: Stoke by Nayland Resort
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: £12.77 per hour

Join Our Nights Team

Stoke by Nayland Resort is looking for a professional, friendly and reliable Night Receptionist/Night Porter to join our team on a full-time basis.

This hands-on role is ideal for a motivated individual with a positive attitude, excellent organisational skills and a genuine passion for hospitality. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running, safety and security of the resort throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

Welcoming guests and processing check-ins and check-outs
Providing information about hotel facilities, services and the local area
Processing guest payments, invoices, departure bills and room charges
Taking, modifying and managing hotel and restaurant reservations
Running the Night Audit procedure
Providing First Aid response where required
Ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff and the building
Monitoring CCTV systems
Carrying out on-site checks and patrols
Completing evening and morning handovers, tasks and checklists
Assisting with night cleaning duties and supporting housekeeping when needed
Maintaining high operational and guest service standards

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

Excellent IT and administrative skills
Strong communication and organisational abilities
A proactive and positive approach to work
A keen eye for detail
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience using POS and PMS systems
Previous hotel reception experience (preferred)
A valid 3-Day First Aid qualification or equivalent
A full UK driving licence
